This classical Hatha Yoga class focuses on grounding and bringing stability to the body and mind, while building strength and flexibility through a slow-paced meditative practice. Open to all levels of practitioners, whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, this class can be paced with the use of props to follow a meditative sequence designed for building strength and stability. Focus will be on breathing, alignment and holding postures.

Also available via Zoom.

Props: Please bring your own yoga mat and yoga belt, or long scarf. There is a limited amount of mats at the temple for students’ use.

About Monisha Raja: Born and raised in India, Monisha began her yoga practice as a  child and has been teaching for over 20 years in New York City. She is the founder of Yoga Aid, a non-profit organization committed to honouring yoga’s roots and source culture, and amplifying Indian South Asian voices in the field of yoga and health. Monisha embodies the practice through her activism and commitment to the principles of yoga ethics. She is a fashion educator at F.I.T., dedicated to furthering the principle of Ahimsa in fashion.
