Description:
Join us as we explore the Hanuman Chalisa and some of the sacred stories behind this sacred prayer to Hanuman by Tulsidas. We will explore the deeper meaning of the Chalisa and how this energetic prayer which is chanted by millions of people around the world can be a foundation for inspiring social service and compassionate action. Hanuman Dass is founder of Go Dharmic, an international humanitarian organisation founded on the Hindu idea of Dharma and inspired by his Guru Neem Karoli Baba. Hanuman Dass will share some recent excerpts from his book entitled Moving Mountains: Guide to the Hanuman Chalisa, which has been written with Dr.Nicholas Sutton from the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies.

Go Dharmic has served over 20 million meals to vulnerable people and has been present at over 180 disaster relief events. They have developed over 100 school libraries in India and are driven by the Gita’s call to ‘act for the welfare of the world’. Go Dharmic has 50 active global volunteer groups including New York and Los Angeles that come together to alleviate food poverty and Love all, Feed all.
