With Nidhi Pandya and Monisha Raja
Monday, May 8th, 6:30 pm – 8:15 pm
This one-of-a-kind Asana and Culinary Ayurveda experience will use yoga and movement to ignite your inner fire and heighten your senses for a unique taste-testing and meal experience rooted in these two Vedic sciences.
When Yoga and Ayurveda come together, the result is not 2+2 but rather 22. These two sister sciences work in tandem. While Yoga brings knowledge of self for enlightenment, Ayurveda works to preserve the body as an exploratory vehicle for the world inside and out.
In this combination class, we will –
- Explore postures that stimulate, nourish, and balance the Agni
- Work to heighten sensory awareness
- Go through Ayurvedic principles of eating
- A gentle food meditation and six taste experience, The Rasa Experience
- A light Ayurvedic dinner rooted in the six tastes
This class is suitable for all levels. We invite you to come with an open mind and an intention to go deeper within and connect with your inner fire.
The Rasa Experience™ is a unique and interactive culinary adventure that teaches you to understand the benefits of foods based on their taste, not just their labels. According to Ayurveda, the taste of a particular food carries the secret code of its potential action in the body, and learning about the six tastes (Shad Rasa) empowers you to choose foods that bring balance to your unique body. The Rasa Experience will change the way you look at your foods forever.
