The Kalasha sthapana is one of the most important rituals in any worship. Water magnifies energy, and the molecular structure of water changes in tune with the vibrations that are around it. Mantras and worship transforms regular water into sacred water, and during these five days we will worship the kalashas invoking Ganesha and the other primary deities to dwell in the water, along with several herbs placed in the kalasha. At the end of five days this water will be used in the final abhisheka, re-consecrating Ganesha, infusing him with extra brightness, and cleansing any karmas that may have collected in the temples due to devotees asking Ganesha for prayers to be answered and leaving our problems at His feet! This is a vital cleansing ceremony for any temple.
