Haridra Ganapati Sahasranama Archana

Haridra Ganapati means a small Ganesha made out of turmeric, which is a purifying, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory herb. The various Hindu deities are manifest in herbs, plants, trees, and stones. The temporary deities made from turmeric and other substances magnify the healing properties of these substances. In the special puja, each devotee will be given a freshly made turmeric Ganesha that they will worship with rice grains with each of the one thousand and one names of Ganesha that the priest chants. This is a participatory puja, but can also be performed on your behalf if you are not able to be present.

Pujas Performed:
Archana
Archana means offering, praising, or honoring. With each name chanted, we leave our troubles, worries, difficulties, the entire content of our mind, at the feet of the Lord, so that we can be filled with the brightness, grace, and holiness of the names of Ganesha.
