Join BSGT and the Kalavant Center for Music & Dance for a 6 week immersive bhajan program!
During the six classes, students will learn 2 bhajans and one ghazal (a musical form of a poem or ode). The class is perfect for those who want to start learning spiritual bhajans. While some music experience is preferred, it is not necessary.
This program is open to all levels, ages 15+
About the instructor Asif Khan:
Gifted with a melodious voice, Asif has performed at college youth festivals, and competitions, and many private musical events. He is capable of singing Indian classical, semi-classical, bhajans, and ghazals. After completing his Master’s in Music he taught music at Global International Indian School at Ahmedabad in India.
Presently he conducts music lessons at Kalavant Center for Music and Dance, a non-profit cultural organization dedicated to promoting and preserving traditional music and dance of Southeast Asia, with a special emphasis on the classical traditions of India.
